Jackie Stidham

Jackie Stidham began his racing career running the brackets in 1971 at the Oklahoma City track and would continue until 1982 when he began his Top Alcohol Funny Car career.

In 1983 Jackie finished 10th in the NHRA national points championship. And since that time he has been in 53 final round divisional races and has won 30 of them.

Jackie won six Division 4 TAFC point championships and finished second in six additional seasons. He has appeared in eight national events final rounds, winning two. Jackie was the fourth TAFC driver to join the Castrol GTX five second club, at Topeka, Kansas in 1989 with a 5.98 @ 231 MPH run. In 2004 Jackie won the JEG’S all star TAFC championship.

After competing in TAFC from 1983 thru 2006, a total of 25 years representing NHRA Division 4 he is now retired, or is he? Right now in his Oklahoma shop sits a shiny red corvette D/Stock automatic race car. Is this for our retiree or for his son?
